Welcome to our class! 

Required Materials

  • One 2 inch binder  (No Trapper Keepers)
  • Five dividers for binder (One section for Math only!)
  • Your math folder must be in your binder at all times
  • Texas Instruments TI 30 calculator 
  • 12 pack of #2 pencils (no pens may be used in Math)
  • One ream of loose leaf paper (Refill as needed)



Grades

  • Assessment will be done on the basis of tests, quizzes, in-class small and large group assignments, projects, homework and other class work. Assessment will also be done on a daily basis through observation of class participation and preparation.

Arrive on Time

  • Students are to be inside the classroom, WHEN THE BELL RINGS, and they are to be working on their Bellwork.



Absence from Class

  • It is the responsibility of each student to make up all missed class work, assignments, homework, tests and quizzes missed while out of school. To find out what you missed:
  • Check the teacher website: www.hughes-math.webnode.com
  • Check with the teacher before or after school (not during class time)

  

Homework

  • Homework will be given in order to reinforce and practice a learned concept
  • Homework is due following the class period in which it is assigned, unless otherwise instructed
  • Make-up homework for absent students is due following the day of their return



After School Help

  • I will be happy to help any student with homework or class work after school



Classroom Rules

  • Always respect the rights of others (Absolutely no teasing, name-calling, etc will be tolerated)
  • Arrive on time or present a late pass
  • Come fully prepared for class with all materials and completed assignments
  • No electronic equipment (iPods, Cell Phones, etc) may be used in the classroom
  • Proper classroom behavior is expected at all time (no vulgar or impolite language)
  • Obey the Delran Middle School dress code
  • Keep all backpacks under the desk and out of the aisles
  • Students must make up all missed work due to absences
  • Always sit in assigned seats
